I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. I graduated from the Golf Course Operations program at Lake City Community College. I have extensive experience on bent grass and Bermuda grass in the southeast. The past seven years I have been at Waterfall Club in Clayton, GA. I am married with three children and have family in Edgefield County. We are excited about moving to Aiken to become a part of the club and community. I am an avid sports fan with all my favorite teams in Tampa with the exception of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Woodside Plantation is a tremendous opportunity for me. I look forward to taking on all the challenges the courses present and taking the golf courses to the next level for Members and their guests. My door will always be open and if you have any questions feel free to stop by and ask.
In addition to playing at the Division II level, Arturo brings many years of teaching experience to Woodside Plantation. Most recently, he served as Director of Tennis at Houndslake Country Club, where he started as Head Tennis Professional in 2010, was promoted in two short years to the Director’s role and, within six months, helped increase tennis membership by more than 50 percent.
Throughout his career, Arturo has established and trained students in leagues, clinics, tournaments, and social events at both the adult and junior levels. His desire to get both experienced and non-experienced tennis players motivated and excited about the sport is unmatched. Through mixers, quads, men’s and women’s night out, and junior round robins, he is passionate about keeping all levels of athletes involved in the tennis community. Arturo attended the University of South Carolina at Aiken where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He then went on to attend Augusta State University where he earned a Master of Business Administration.
