Blackheath Course

With its undulating fairways and plentiful water features, the Blackheath Course is the most picturesque at Ford's Colony. Every green is protected by bunkers on the course, and water comes into play on 13 of its holes. The Blackheath Course, which opened in its current form in 1999, is the only course at Ford’s Colony that plays to a par 71.

Blue Heron Course

The Blue Heron Course opened with its current configuration in 1999 and is the longest of the three courses. It is a continuous 18 with long, challenging par 3s and par 5s and generous fairways carved out of dense wetlands, where different species of birds, fish and other wildlife can often be spotted. The course has new Champion Bermuda greens which provide the smoothest surfaces throughout the year.

Marsh Hawk Course*

The narrow fairways, well-placed bunkers, natural lakes, and elevation changes are the defenses of this traditional, tree-lined course, which opened in 1985. Marsh Hawk was the host of the 1998 and 1999 Virginia State Opens, a Monday Qualifier for the 2005 - 2007 Henrico County Open and a Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour’s Michelob Championship for 12 straight years.

Game On! Program

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or if you’re coming back to the sport after some time off, Ford's Colony Country Club’s Game On! Program provides the ideal way for golfers to experience learning the game in an environment and structure that will enable them to build the skills, knowledge and social connections to actively play the game and maximize your Ford's Colony Country Club membership.

Where Game On! differs from other traditional programs is that it does not measure success based on completing a set number of classes. Instead, success is defined when you have achieved the criteria set out within a 3-Level Progression Pathway that ensures you have harnessed the knowledge, experiences and appropriate level of skill to play the golf course. The length of time spent on the program varies between golfer but it’s why golf is a journey, not a marathon.

No matter where your golf journey is taking you, Ford's Colony Country Club is excited to welcome you to the sport! From socializing in a friendly and fun environment to focusing on health and wellness, golf has something for everyone and for every family through:

Making New Social Connections
Spending more time with loved ones
Learning a new skill
Healthier lifestyle
An activity great for the entire family
